In the framework of the Community Canvas activity, an introductory
session convenes, extending a warm welcome to both women and men
participants. Following the introduction, female members of the project
team engage in an exercise where they describe an enterprise using the
alphabet corresponding to their names. Subsequently, the Canvas game
commences with a briefing on its rules.
The game unfolds with the distribution of a chart paper adorned with
various shapes, accompanied by questions pertaining to key aspects such
as village leadership, significant events, influential figures, primary
market dynamics, prevalent challenges, and symbolic representations of
community identity. Background music sets the ambiance as participants
pass a ball amongst themselves. When the music pauses, the designated
participant responds to a posed question, and their answer is
transcribed onto the chart paper at the relevant section.
This interactive process iterates until all participants have
contributed their insights. Concluding the activity, any remaining
unanswered questions are addressed by the final participant, who is
subsequently recognized as the game's winner.
Following the conclusion of the activity, the compiled responses are
collated, providing valuable insights into the characteristics and
dynamics of the village under study.
